The Gear Closet
We sell new and gently used gear for water sports, rock climbing, camping and backpacking, snow sports, cycling and much more! When you shop at The Gear Closet, not only do you get great deals, but you also are supporting our non-profit watershed conservancy! All profits go to fund clean water activities and educational camps for WaterWays. It’s a win, win!
The Gear Closet is WaterWays’ used outdoor gear store, located right across from the Riverwalk on Riverside Drive. All proceeds from the store fund our current projects and educational programming.
By reducing, reusing, and re-gearing, we’re keeping waste out of landfills and getting people outside.

Consign
- Do you have some large ticket items that you want to sell? Bring them to us to sell for you. We take a percentage to support Kids 4 Clean Water, and the rest goes to you. Make money from your unused goods and help a worthy cause, all at the same time!
Donate
- We accept good outdoor gear of all shapes and sizes. From kayaks and backpacks to climbing shoes and chalk bags, outdoor clothing to bikes and tents, you can donate it here! You’ll receive a receipt for your donation for your tax purposes. Call ahead and drop it off.
Shop
- Got a big camping trip coming up and you don’t have any gear? Don’t spend hundreds for one weekend. Come here first and see what we have! Thinking about trying out a new sport and don’t want to invest a lot in it until you know you like it? We are the place for you.
