Summer Monitoring: August 12th

Summer Monitoring: August 12th

It’s 💧WaterWays WEEK TEN of our summer water quality testing initiative. We will be monitoring the health of popular local creeks and swimming holes. The “Summer Swim Report” will provide weekly water monitoring for the following areas:

Greenway Farm

Big Soddy Creek Gulf

Audubon Acres

Rainbow Lake

Middle Creek

Suck Creek

WaterWays’ staff and volunteers will collect and test water samples weekly through Labor Day to check Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria levels to help the community make informed decisions for safe swimming for families and pets.

THIS WEEK: Most of our sites this week are at High levels of E.coli. We are happy to see Big Soddy is only at Elevated levels and Greenway is staying strong with Normal levels! Always take precautions when swimming in freshwater. Swim at your own risk!
