Kids 4 Clean Water Camp

Campers enjoyed nature hikes at McCoy Farm & Gardens, treks to Rainbow Lake to cool off by jumping in and also catching aquatic macroinvertebrates. We learned about life cycles, the water cycle, watersheds, and indicator species. We also got to enjoy a Salamander Slip in Slide and tested our skills at building beaver dams. Our friend, Ms. Bonnie, from Hamilton Co. Water Quality also came by to show us a flood plain table and teach us about the importance of wetlands and pervious surfaces. It was a fun week of not only learning about the importance of clean water but also enjoying it.
